History of Art's Excavating
Art Oster started working with his Uncle Alec Ott in the Medicine Hat Contracting Company sometime in the 1940's. Art later started Art's Excavating in 1966 and ran the business until 1982 when his son Richard Oster took over the company. Richard retired in 2013 leaving the running of Art's Excavating to his long-time employee and partner Warren Schneider.
In 2023 Warren retired, leaving the business to his children Brett and Haley.
Since the beginning, Art's Excavating has grown considerably. The business has transformed from a home-based operation into a large shop, office and yard located at 1793 32nd St SW, Medicine Hat, from which Brett and his staff continue to provide excellent service to Medicine Hat and its surrounding area.
